One of the best steaks in sydney! to go one of my favorite steak places. the sweet potatoes fries adds only to a great meal.Lamb skewers and a wagyu bark sausage are great if they want a bit of anything pork were amazing here many paints and always a great experience

We walked in off the street to be welcomed and taken to the butcher's counter to have the process of ordering explained, not that it was a difficult process. The cuts of meat were a feast for the eyes, you select the piece you'd like, add the salads or vegetables to go with it and off it goes to be prepared.The restaurant has a cafe feel, is large and spacious, great for families, groups, couples or singles, and has a very casual atmosphere, but don't be misled - the meal is anything but casual.We chose eye fillet steaks and vegetables. Our steaks arrived, together with our chosen black pepper sauce on the side, and a separate generous portion of veggies.The steak was cooked medium rare - and was perfect. Don't think you're going to get soggy veggies just because they are sitting in a warming tray display at the counter - these were cooked just enough and were firm and very tasty.All the staff were extremely attentive, but not overly in your face, very friendly and welcoming. There's also a bar with a good choice of drinks.We approached the pass to thank the person who had cooked our steaks and chatted to the owner - who seems to know all about butchery and getting the best out of a piece of meat.We were in the area for a concert and stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat - of all the eateries in Newtown this will probably be my first and only stop every time.

As you get in, you chose your steak cut or burger and get it cooked to your liking. You order salads and drinks to go with and off you go to your table. The space is good and the atmosphere friendly. Recommended!

Beautiful cuts of meat displayed in butcher fashion, with several styles of steak in different weight grades. Also on display were a variety of sausages, along with chicken breasts and lamb cutlets. Select the type of meat, how you wish it cooked, and what side dishes to accompany. I was in a party of 20 plus, and all of us rated the meat as excellent, whilst the side dishes received mixed reviews, mostly relating to small size, lack of variety, and cost. For instance, roast potatoes were not included in the $6 serving of roast veggies!That aside, the meat was excellent.

Dropped in here after training on Sunday night; great burger with real meat and super sweet potato wedges. Even better washing it down with a root beer!
