Cittavino - Newtown

The restaurant has a truly unique wine selection that I found quite intriguing. Even though I didn't particularly enjoy some of the wines, I had to admire the effort they put into finding interesting flavors. The service standards were exceptional.

The waiter, whose name I cannot recall, greeted our group at the table and set out small plates of nibbles, olives, etc. A good start. However, there was no indication of the cost of the drinks he poured, and he did not mention it. We were unsure of the pricing. He got into a disagreement with someone in our party (definitely not an insulting or rude manner) in a condescending way that felt uncomfortable. The drinks seemed overpriced and overall I felt that everything was a bit off.

We were traveling with friends and decided to stop at Cittavino for a drink. The restaurant offers a great selection of red and white wines, allowing us to choose a bottle from their impressive collection. Our friends were especially thrilled to find a wine from South Africa that they had enjoyed during their wedding there. Cittavino serves broth and olives with their wine, making it the perfect spot for wine lovers. Highly recommended!

Another great experience in a night with strong rain. this place offers a variety of white, rose and red wines, which are torn on the table. snacks are delivered with their wee and most of the seats are around a long community table. they can also buy a wide range of wee at home. we have been here for years and the service is amazing.

Still one of the best wine bars in newtown. Diverse range of red, whites and rose by the glass selected from all over the world. We enjoyed some Greek, Spanish and Chilean wines. A communal and relaxed setting with a bottle store all in one...place. What's not to like.
