Do not go to this place! Service and food were horrible. We arrived at 11:30 am and left at 1 pm, which first tells you how long they take to serve you. The waitress in charge our table (with the butterfly tattoo) took about 15 minutes to take our order, and only allowed us to order our drinks (two orange juices). This waitress was doing everything in slow motion, with not a care in the world. Our drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive, and she still did not come take our food order. We had to order through another waitress and from there, the food took about another 25 minutes to arrive. We ordered two poached eggs (where the egg white came raw and slimy) on different types of bread, with avocado, hash browns, feta, halloumi and smoked salmon. Not only was the bread stale and not as we ordered but the meal was cold. All the extras we ordered were put to the side for US to assemble, with no olive oil to season it. I paid $5 for half an avocado which was not even spread on my toast and $5 more for two small hash browns. We ended up paying $72 in total for two people. Not worth it.
Staff were very welcoming and nice place to have a coffee or lunch
The service was quick after just 10 minutes wait. I’m afraid that’s the only positive side of my experience with Brewtown. I ordered a cronut and a vege breakfast roll. I’m not an expert on pastry but as the name suggests the cronut should taste like a croissant right? However instead of being flaky, buttery and crumbly, it was so chewy. The verge breakfast roll was AWFUL. The menu says milk bun but I’m not sure why I got sourdough breads with cheese. When the dish was served, the cheese already dried and was hard. The crust of the sourdough breads was so hard and the dull table knife provided made it impossible to cut. Then the scramble eggs were over cooked and incredibly bland. The coffee was alright but be mindful that soy milk will cost an additional $1. I understand the struggles brought by the increasing living costs and the COVID. I don’t mind paying more but I just don’t think much efforts were put into preparing my dish.
This place is famous of cronuts (croissant donut). Hence, I usually take away their cronuts only. It’s not too bad if you never had one. Not overly sweet and keep the croissant texture. This is the first time i dine in. The environment is good. Nicely decorated with good lighting. Great for Instagram photos. However, in my opinion, their food is pretty average. Nothing worth mentioning. Their espresso is under extracted. I won’t recommend it.
