Michels Patisserie - NEWTON

We enjoy visiting Michel's cafes and this particular one is located in the Newton Target complex, offering plenty of free parking and easy access. However, it may be a bit hidden from the main path as we were the only customers there during our visit. Despite this, we were pleased with the selection of cakes and slices. We shared hot drinks and a lemon tart, which were served by two friendly Asian girls. The tart was delicious and my cappuccino was beautifully presented. Although our order initially came without napkins, forks, or teaspoons, the oversight was quickly rectified. Paying more attention to detail could certainly elevate this review.

During our visit, we were the only customers which may speak volumes about the place. They offer a good selection of cakes and slices, and we decided on hot drinks and a lemon tart to share. The two servers, who appeared to be of Asian descent, were friendly as they brought our order to the table. The lemon tart was delicious and my cappuccino had a nice froth. Unfortunately, our order only came with one napkin, one fork, and one teaspoon. Additionally, the server forgot to charge us until we reminded her – which could be seen as a positive or negative. Paying more attention to detail could improve their rating by one.

I ordered a skinny cappuccino and waited a long time for it, even though the restaurant was almost empty. When it was finally served, it had spilled into the saucer.
