Villa Capri Pizzeria - Newton

Excellent service and delicious food! The portion sizes are a bit smaller than some other places I've tried. I ordered a veal parmesan platter, which was enough to satisfy my hunger, but I’ve had larger portions at nearby pizza places that provide enough for lunch the next day, often at a similar price. Nevertheless, I don’t want to deduct a star, as the food truly is tasty. Regarding the service, I had one instance where I picked up my order and they forgot part of it. I called them, and they promptly sent someone to deliver the missing item, even though I live at least 10 minutes away.

The pizza was excellent, but the garlic knots were burnt. They do offer delivery to the brewery, but the delivery person calls from outside, which is inconvenient since it's quite loud inside. Other restaurants manage to bring the orders in instead. Additionally, it would have been nice to have paper plates and napkins. Next time, I'll choose the other pizzeria!

A fellow patron asked him to lower his voice, but instead, the owner retreated to the kitchen and avoided any further interaction. He kept peeking around the corner, and after about ten minutes, he finally approached the customer, but his attitude was far from welcoming. When the customer explained that he had simply wanted him to be more mindful of his language around kids, the owner responded with, "Our back door is broken and we're a little on edge... we're not perfect." There was no acknowledgment of his inappropriate behavior, just an excuse for it. Unfortunately, I've seen this kind of behavior multiple times here. With all the drama and the way employees are treated, I think I’m done with this place. Goodbye!

I have been eating at Villa Capri for more than 20 years. Today Mike and crew catered a family event for us. The food was delicious, everything arrived on time and hot, and the meal ended up being the the talk of the party. I would highly recommend them if you are having a get-together or if your in newton looking for a bite to eat! Thanks again guys!
