Contribuiți la feedbackIn September, I called to ask a few questions about the room and menu planning. After speaking with Filipo, I felt uneasy because our booking seemed disorganized. At the end of the call, he even asked if we had put down a deposit for that date. Fast forward to early October—we decided to visit in person due to our concerns. We met with Kathy, who informed us that they had lost our paperwork, double-booked another party for the same date, and because of this, we wouldn't have the private room we were promised. Even though we booked before the other group (who made their reservation three months after us), they wouldn’t honor our booking, so we were offered an area in the back of the restaurant instead. This space was essentially just part of the restaurant that anyone could walk through, including patrons headed to the bathrooms. In our shock, we quickly scrambled to find a new location for our rehearsal dinner, especially since it was just a month before the event. Fortunately, we found an alternative venue and decided to cancel with Bella Italia due to their disorganization and unfulfilled promises. At this point, we requested our $200 deposit back, as they clearly could not provide the service that was promised. We attempted to reach out for nearly a week before finally getting ahold of them. When my mostly non-confrontational fiancé spoke to Kathy about the situation and asked for our money back, she acted like a victim, claiming we were in the wrong because they had supposedly ordered food a month in advance. My fiancé's father has worked in food sales for over 30 years, and it’s atypical for restaurants to place orders that far ahead for events. They were not only dishonest about that but also failed to take responsibility for losing our paperwork and double-booking us. Kathy insisted that such a mistake had never happened in her 23 years of experience, but that didn’t help us or our situation. After my fiancé conversed with her for a while, Kathy said the only compensation she could offer was a gift card to their restaurant. Another week passed without any communication from them, and when I finally reached Kathy again, she was confrontational. She complained that we called on a Friday at 4:30 PM, claiming it was too close to dinner rush. She went on to say that the whole situation was our fault, refusing to take any accountability for their errors, which put a damper on our wedding weekend. I pointed out her lack of ownership in this situation and told her a gift card wouldn’t suffice since we wouldn’t want to return after this experience. She became upset and handed the phone to her husband, who told me we shouldn’t have booked with another restaurant before hanging up. When I called back, I was told they were unavailable, but I could still hear yelling in the background before the call ended again. This is not how a business should be run. They clearly believe they are above the people they serve.
Dawn is fantastic! I highly recommend her as your waitress. She is attentive, caring, and treats everyone like family. Hats off to Dawn!
We also brought along our 87-year-old Italian mother, who is quite a picky eater when dining out. She declared the risotto the best she's ever had, which left us in disbelief! The atmosphere of the place is laid-back and understated; don't expect much in terms of decor, but the food makes up for it. We’ve returned several times and have never been disappointed. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring you’ll have plenty of leftovers. We highly recommend giving this restaurant a try—you won’t regret it!
I was super hesitant coming here for my grandpa's birthday party. Walking in, it doesn't look like anything fancy and the bathrooms need some TLC (clean but falling apart), and the party area upstairs was small. Wait staff were super friendly and accommodating. Food was phenomenal! Excellent calamari. The buffet included roast beef, an Italian veal stew (awesome), cavatelli (delicious), pasta with marinara and my all time favorite chicken Marsala which was cooked perfectly. The Parmesan cheese on the table was fantastic, we all dumped it on our pasta. Very out of the way for me location wise but i would 100% return!
Food was incredible! Authentic pasta dishes, seafoo, fresh baked brea, everything was delicious.! Excellent customer service, prompt attention, and they make you feel like family. Will definitely be back.
