Contribuiți la feedbackAmazing hotel, doesn’t look that nice from outside, but it’s fantastic inside. We had a look inside the Scarlet while staying here and although it’s very nice, I think the facilities were more than adequate at the Bedruthan. The spa was amazing, the pool a decent size. The food was excellent, the staff excellent. We did the midweek autumn stay which is great value, but also meant it wasn’t too busy. Rooms: 5
I have to say this is the best hotel I have ever visited in the UK. This encompasses, the location, the state of the accommodation and the service. I cannot put into words how happy and amazed I was at the level of service that we received on a honeymoon at Bedruthan, and I was absolutely gutted to have to leave rest assured we will absolutely be visiting again, this is our little haven we have discovered. Thank you so ever so much have a Bedruthan Team Rooms: Phenomenal view and expert rooms. Safety: Awesome. Food drinks: Great affordable selection of interesting foods and drink
The villa room had sea view and was big and roomy with it 's own terrace. The staff were polite and friendly. However, we did not realise the villa would involve so many stairs or slopes. It is a hilly location, but even so, not enough info given regarding this at the time of booking. Very difficult with luggage, but helpful members of staff did come to help pull the luggage backwards and forwards to the car. The spa and pool were very nice also. We felt that charging a further £6 per person for a cooked breakfast was too expensive in view of what we had paid for b and b and the choice in a morning that was included in the stay was ok, but not to everyone 's taste. There should have been some bread on offer other than sourdough, that is not a taste everyone likes or even suits all digestions, which was the case with us, even though the baking on display was very nice generally. When we asked for other than sourdough, we were greeted with a 'no '. Normal wholemeal or white should have been amongst the choice. We are all for the eco side of things, but think this was pushed too much in some ways at this hotel. The reason for charging £6 extra for a cooked breakfast was because otherwise there was so much waste, but many people would at least like eggs or some kind of cooked breakfast included in the cost of the stay. The choice in the two restaurants was limited, but not sufficient choice in the 2 and 3 course restaurant on the main meals and there was no alternative, if you didn 't like duck or red mullet on the night we dined there, we were told there was no other choice, other than the vegetarian choice of braised radish or some such. We were actually told by a member of staff that the menu for the main restaurant which was also on the bar menu board, was the 'children 's menu '. Show me a child who eats red mullet or duck?? Then I wanted soup and my husband wanted a scone for lunch and because of this was told by the same member of staff that the soup had to be eaten in one side of the bar but we had to sit in a different area to eat the scone. Oh please !!! All food and drink in this hotel was quite expensive. It was a case of take it or leave it, basically. The bed and pillows were very good and also the bathroom was fine, but needed a shelf and further hook to air bath towels. There was not enough room on the small heated towel rail for bath towels as well as hand towels. The bedroom needed some shelving and drawers for small items in the room. For example medications and toiletries, we regard as private and most people would not want to use a large cupboard with no shelving or drawers for such items. It ends up with clothing and underwear piled up in cupboards which is not the most convenient. Even a couple of drawers would have been very handy. The weather was warm for most of our stay, but our villa did turn chilly because of its vicinity when the weather closed in later in the week and we had no success turning the panel on in the room. We asked at reception about this and was greeted with a simple reply that the temperature had been 24 degrees previously !! Well, it wasn 't that evening!!!! and although the main hotel where the Reception was, was still warm, our Villa was not and it was quite windy that afternoon. We pointed this out and was told that the hotel did not switch the heating on yet. Well, bearing in mind this is mid October in the UK, I do believe there should be flexibility on this matter. However, a heater was provided after this conversation, which was very welcome that evening. Mostly enjoyed the stay, particularly the views and the weather. Food drinks: Expensive and not sufficient choice.
