Days Inn - Newport News

As this was a last minute reservation I shouldn't complain however the cleaning staff were a bit rough. Cursing, complaining, shouting across the rooms. It took all day just to get clean towels and the room wasn't cleaned at all. The rug felt damp tho I'm not sure if it's from the hot muggy weather or the AC. The room also smelled of cigarette smoke. Complimentary breakfast was sparse, they only had the rubbery waffles you make, cereal, toast and what look like egg mini pancakes (their version of scrambled eggs!! yuk! IHOP is a couple blocks over and there's a waffle dinner next door. If you forgo breakfast and the very loud cleaning service than you're good to go. There's a big pool, an outdoor grill with tables on a nice secluded grassy yard. We have family in VA and enjoyed the pool/picnic time. Busch Gardens is 15 mins away. The highway is also 15 mins.

Gross room, bad foundation, difficult to open door. Blood in trash. Yuck. Not recommended.

This place was nasty, smelled of smoke as soon as you enter. Homeless people going in and out. Down the hallway to our room smelled of pot. The front desk is wrapped in bullet proof glass. The room itself was nasty and dirty and grimy. The floor was slippery and just nasty. The bed frame was dirty and nasty. The furniture was old and broken. The bathroom was not clean and the tub was black with dirt. the pictures they have on their website must be from a different hotel. I'll never book with Days Inn or Wyndom hotels again

Please Don't sleep in this place! Horrible experience, I have stayed as in 8 different Days Inn and have never encountered a room as dirty as this, just disgusting. The stained bath curtain, the toilet stained on the lid, the room stinking of humidity , and to finish completing towels with hairs, fridge with hairs and bed with dirt and hair. Wyndham does not know what happens but you are falling from category.

Woohoo. $50 a night. Remember you get what you pay for. We pulled up to check in and there were three cop cars here, one investigating a overdose, the other there for a domestic violence dispute. The carpet was wet in purple room, there were black hairs under our covers (were both blonde) our room keys never worked so we always had to get new ones anytime we wanted to enter our room. The bathroom was dirty and the pillows were small and lumpy and gross. This place is just dirty. The price attracts the wrong crowd. Then, I decided to pull back to sheets before we left and discovered my worst nightmare. A big blood/body fluid stain on the mattress. Gross. Pay an extra $30 a night and go elsewhere.
