I think we should be able to ask for a specific table

We reserved a table for 2 at 8:45 for New Years Eve. We paid 390 for dinner and dancing and free champaign at midnight. We were sat on a screened in patio upstairs with another party of 4. It was a very small space with outside heaters. The screens were ripped and did not seal the room adequately. Water was coming in by the opening at the bottom of the curtain from the downpour outside. Through out dinner we had several servers and other employees try to fix the problem by using mops and towels. The water leak unfortunately was not fixed. But, the table of 4 was moved closer to us to avoid the flow of water coming through the screen, which was really the icing on the cake so to speak. No one asked if few would prefer another table, an apology for the inconvenience etc. The party of 4 was on the verge of being obnoxious after 2 rounds of pre dinner cocktails. My husband and I were speechless. Trying to keep our evening from being a total failure, we quickly finished our meal 600 with tip) and hit the dance floor. The dancing was great, the food was great. Our dinner experience was horrible. By far the worst experience dining we have ever had 60 or 600 without exception.

Way too noisy and very pricey. The waiter was excellent. The sommelier took too long to get to our table then didn’t have the bottle we selected but he made a good substitution and kept the price the same. My fish was good but my dates steak was literally a slab of meet with no sauce and nothing else on the plate, so not a great presentation. He ordered a side of potatoes. Nothing in the restaurant to quell the noise my ears are still ringing the day after. Very hard to have a conversation.
