Contribuiți la feedbackOn June 2 at 7:15 pm, I invited some friends to join us for dinner at the Coliseum restaurant. My family and friends and I booked a reservation for tonight two weeks ago.We often travel from Texas to Newport Coast. The Pelican Hotel and all of its restaurants were a pleasant experience for us. Tonight, we had a terrible experience, and I was highly disappointed in your service. Firstly, it took half an hour for someone to take our order at the table. After that, we waited more than an hour for our food. The medium well-done meat on my plate was completely undercooked, and no one asked if we needed anything else.Three wine glasses are needed. It took me two attempts to get a response from the waitress. When I walked up to the bar, the bartender gave me three wine glasses. No one came to clean the table and prepare it for dessert after we finished eating. Since I had to do it myself, we ordered five coffees and two teas when the dessert arrived. It took two or three times for someone to give my grandma the heater, as she was very ill. When I asked the waitress about the bag, she said she had already given it to you. There was something wrong with our coffee. It was cold, old, and tasted awful. Despite paying more than 250 dollars for the service fee and leaving a tip, I had a disappointing experience at your restaurant tonight. If I have a complaint about a restaurant, I prefer to speak with the management directly instead of writing a review. At the Pelican Hotel, such things shouldn't happen. In general, I don't write reviews when I have a problem, but I was having trouble contacting the manager of this restaurant.
Loud musicâ¦staffing shortageâ¦long wait for service
Service was slow and food was worst meal For everyone. Burgers ordered medium were burnt. Salad was inedible and turkey club was terrible. Margarita pizza was all cheese and no sauce.
We waited about 20 minutes for initial service which we had to ask for. Our drinks took forever to come out and we could see them sitting on the bar ended up having to ask someone to bring them to us. It was just very slow and frustrating to have to wait so long, especially with kids. Then we were told it was a mandatory 20% service charge regardless of the lack of service! Food was great but we were so hungry and frustrated by the time we got our orders. Itâs a shame because itâs a beautiful place.
In the day it was a great place for dining with a spectacular view and terrific food⦠not so much now. They need a dress code â¦. Didnât need to eat and see a man with a tank undershirt and hairy arm pits!!! And since when do dogs eat in restaurantsâ¦there were at least 8 dogs at the time!
