Cappy's Cafe - Newport Beach

The fish tacos (mahi) were delicious! I felt a bit pressured when ordering, but overall it was a good experience. My friend tried the monkfish and said it was fantastic. The atmosphere with my friends was perfect. I really appreciate that the full menu is available all day long!

The breakfast was delightful, featuring fresh ingredients. The drink selection at the bar is quite good, and the atmosphere is lively with happy patrons.

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 35 years, and it's the kind of place you can always return to because the food is consistently excellent. The service is fantastic, and the chefs deserve a huge round of applause! The food is served quickly and always hot. Although I've moved away, I recently visited with my youngest child for the first time, and they absolutely loved it. Keep up the great work, everyone—this truly is a local favorite!

Cappy was amazing. We had about 13 in our party. Cappy was very accommodating. We used the online table reservation, but due to the size of our party we could not use the online reservation so we called and explained and they were very helpful to keep a table for us. The food was great, servings were cheap. The cinnamon baking toast combo with eggs, sausage and bacon (dick), chiliquilla and Corned beef hash with domestic frits with onions, green peppers and cheese is shown. The CBH was made at home, not from a can and delicious. It was served over bread. The housekeepers were excellent. The chiliquilla was a little soggy of maybe too long to sit before it was delivered, but it was still very good. The menu had many options to choose from. Everyone was very happy with his orders and had a great time. The service was excellent. Christie was our main server and she has an amazing work with our big group.

Cappy's has been in Newport/ Balboa city for over 40 years. Their menu exceeded my expectations. There is something for everyone. Food was delicious, I had the cinnamon roll french toast combo. My husband had the corned beef hash with potatoes and grilled onions. Good size portions. The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to meet the needs for our party of 13.
