Abby's Legendary Pizza - Newport Beach

We were camping at Beverly Beach and needed pizza for 12 adults and 3 kids. Abbys was awesome throughout. The pizzas are pricy $40 for their best Giant options (16 slices) but it's the best pizza we've had anywhere on the Coast. We had pepperoni, their classic combo, and the vegetarian with artichokes. all three were big hits. If you order online, be careful... they have two stores that get mixed up often.. You want Newport, not Newberg. Great crew there, very accommodating, couldn't have asked for more.

We love Abby's pizza and visit every opportunity that comes. We are from Boise which does not have any of this chain.

They never answer the phone. They always have it disconnected and love to always close early. Terrible service.

The only thing that's legendary about this place is how long you'll be waiting for your order. We made an order online, where it claims a half hour waiting time. The reality was 90 minutes. I don't think I have ever seen a group of people work with so little urgency in my life. While we waited we were provided a dramatic show in the form of a couple having a loud, profanity-laden argument in a dining room full of children. I assumed the woman worked there because she was bussing all of the tables. Instead of providing some kind of intervention, the crew hid in the kitchen and tried their best to ignore what was going on. Then there was the pizza. Believe the other reviews when they say that the quality you get for the price you're paying is sub-par. Our pizza was half burned and bland while the garlic knots came right out of the freezer. My family and I were left wishing that we'd just got some Dominos instead. *Update 8/14/24* The head manager, Alicia, was very kind and offered us a heartfelt apology along with a full refund. I'm still hesitant to give this place another chance but I appreciated the manager doing her best to make this mistake right.

Super expensive for the size of the pizza, took quite a while to get the food, once we did it was ok, not a wide range of drinks either
