El Rio Grande Mexican - Newport

Quality has actually gone downhill since the last time (about 3 years ago). Burritos were lukewarm when it was served, and most of the plate was iceberg salad and pico to hide the smaller sizes. They also calculate 3.5% for non-payment payments. Apparently there's a sign on the door, but if the door is held for you when you go in, you don't see it. A reasonable approach would be to charge money price credit price, but they seem to prefer the hidden fee.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Cincinnati! I've been visiting for 15 years and have never had a negative experience. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is excellent. My personal favorites are the Nachos Fajitas and the homemade hot salsa.

Taco Salat was so tender that a lot of bowl was unusable, just a dripping mess. The meat in it was delicious. And the vegetables were fresh. Such a better than mediocre experience. Service was good.

I always enjoy my nights at Rio! I can't comment too much on the menu since we typically order the same items every time, but they are fantastic! We usually share the fajitas for two, which you can get with chicken, steak, or a mix. Even though it's meant for two, there's enough food to easily feed six people (I'm not kidding)! The kids usually go for the chicken quesadilla, and it's a hit every time! The portions are enormous, and the prices are incredible considering the quality and size! I highly recommend this place for families! We've never had a bad experience here!
