Contribuiți la feedbackThis place is a favourite of mine. The eggplant delight and cashew chicken are delicious. The service is always fast and polite.
Excellent lunch specials and variety. Lemon chicken soup and spring rolls also great. Cashew nut chicken and pad Thai both worth getting again. Could use a 'server/waiter ', longer wait to order and pay. Really nice spot for Newmarket.
Love the Bangkok Thai. Newmarket staple for ever! Did the take out thang for a family function. All the dishes (the usual) were enjoyed by all. The mango salad was a bit of a disappointment which brought the star to 4. The mango wasn't ripe so it was hard and tasteless. Likely they suggest they just don't have any rather than disappoint. Just me though. Anyway love to support a local restaurant whenever we can.
You will like the ambience that this restaurant brings. Once you walk in, you will notice a little bit of Asian inspirations. There are fresh plants in the place and that is always a positive thing in my books. I have been to this restaurant a lot of times... and I do wish to come back again and again. You will never go wrong with anything that you order from their menu. I have pretty much tried a lot of their food and they are all incredible. I love that they now have an option to substitute white rice with brown for only $1.00 more. Their portions are pretty reasonable for the price also. My new fave is the fish with curry sauce. I wasn't expecting to like it so much, but I did. The fish was more likely basa, I forgot to ask) but it was still really tasty and soft. The sauce had a hint of spice that wasn't too overwhelming for my pallette. Overall, i will come back again. Since it is only a stones throw away from my home.
I tried the Spicy Squid and Basil Shrimp lunch sets at this restaurant. Both dishes were pretty standard stir fries that lacked flavor. The Basil Shrimp dish had a small amount of basil, but it didn't really taste like basil. The Lemon Chicken soup (Tom Yum) and Coconut Chicken soup (Tom Kha) were average - they only had mushroom slices and chicken pieces, with no lemongrass or other spices. The spring rolls were decent. I was disappointed to find out that they don't serve pork, which is a common meat in Thai cuisine.
