Astoria Shish Kebob House - Newmarket

Our family adores this restaurant. The food is tasty, the portions are generous, and the service is excellent. The owners always greet us warmly and go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of. Our 8-month-old baby enjoys when the staff interact and play with her. Overall, this is our go-to place for amazing food and service.

I went for lunch and the food was promptly prepared. The flavors were very good, though the lettuce was a little soggy. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would recommend this restaurant.

Decided to come here and someone told us it wasn’t good. We went anyway. Fried calamari were over cooked in old oil. We told the waitress and she said she would tell the cook… nobody came out to apologize. Chicken was dry, veggies were good and so were the potatoes. Rice wasn’t the greatest either. I was disappointed and expected better. How can you go wrong with Greek food? To be honest I’ve gone to many others and food was incredible we took friends out for dinner, not good at all. Danforth location is much better!

The food was delicious, especially the Saganaki (flaming cheese). Sophia provided excellent customer service.

Got take out, honestly one of the worst I’ve had in a while. This place was good years ago. Don’t know what happened.
