Went there with my partner for a Saturday evening dinner. We had made an enquiry for a reservation for 6pm, but as we didn't get a confirmation within 1 hour, we decided to just show up. We were very warmly greeted by the host, who then showed us to a table. The waiter then came and took our drink order, but as I was driving, we didn't get any alcoholic drinks, just tap water. We proceeded to order our dishes: one pizza Di carne for myself and a portion of fusilli pasta carbonara. The dishes were brought to us within 10 minutes. The base of the pizza was nice and fluffy with a good amount of fresh toppings on top. The pasta was also very good and filling, with some extra cheese on top. Overall a very lovely and warming experience, great food and amazing hosts. We occasionally meet chums in Newmarket and this Italian was the place we agreed to meet for lunch. First time for us and overall a pretty good effort. Requested a better table but they couldn't accomodate the request, when obviously they could but no biggy . The food was good but not what I would call spectacular but would gladly go back and eat there again, so I would urge you to do the same. I think the trouble is we holiday in Tuscany, and frequent several high end Italian restaurants here in the Midlands. We may have been spoiled but seriously, this is a place I would gladly eat at again when next in Newmarket and as I said would urge you to have a run at it too.
