Yi-ban Royal Albert Dock - Newham

I had been to Yi Ban years ago and seeing as it was my daughter's birthday, we went again and I was slightly worried about some recent negative reviews. There was nothing to fear, the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. We had dim sum, the mixed seafood, garlic and onion prawns, kung-po chicken and sizzling beef. We had a lovely time and we would go back again. Highly recommend.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. The service and staff are excellent and the food is to die for. Ample parking and cracking views.

This used to be my favourite Chinese restaurant and it’s really gone down hill, such a shame! After years of loyalty I won’t be returning

Really do not recommend this place . very rude staff . Food is far below average-if you like Chinese food a little better than your high street but it’s too noisy with little regard for customers . Go to Four Seasons or Royal China -anywhere but here !!! My 80 plus year old father was being pushed round by customers who were barging on with no effort by staff to assist those who were waiting to be served

I come to Yi-ban for dim sum 1/2 times a month and spend £55/£89 on each visit. However, on this occasion, after paying the bill, I politely asked the waitor for a VAT receipt. The waitor then sighs and huffed at me like it was such hard work to print a VAT receipt. After presenting the VAT receipt to me the waitor then yelled.. IN FUTRE YOU NEED TO ASK FOR A VAT RECEIPT! I politely asked once for a VAT receipt and in future me and my spouse won't be returning again. Another waitress kindly refunded the service charge upon my request. This will be the 1st and last time I have removed service charge at Yi-ban because after this bizarre VAT receipt experience, me, my spouse and friends will never come to Yi-ban again. There's plenty of lovely restaurants in Chinatown that serves great dim sum.
