Bella Italia - Newcastle

The pizza at this restaurant is made in the traditional Italian style, with a thin crust. They are quite tasty, although I personally found mine to be a bit too salty. My partner enjoyed her Zucchini flowers and Garlic prawns. One thing that bothered me was the small amount of wine I was served when ordering a glass. The bartender should be more generous with the pour. The restaurant is on the pricier side as well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with good food and service, despite a few complaints. With a couple of improvements, it could have been a 5-star experience.

My partner and I had our first experience at Bella Italia tonight. We called in advance to see if we could come in earlier than our reservation time and the staff were very accommodating! When we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The service was very attentive and the food was fantastic! The vegan menu had a lot of options to choose from. The atmosphere was also great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much and we can't wait to visit again soon!

I am thrilled to find a warm and genuine Italian restaurant in the center of Newcastle! The staff is attentive, friendly, and diverse, and the food is delicious and made with love. We will definitely be returning! Oh, and the espresso martini was fantastic, by the way!

Have been here twice. Exceptional food and service both times. High quality ingredients and a lot of effort put into every meal. Could not recommend a better place to go for real Italian food and wood fired pizzas in Newcastle. Great selection of mid priced wines and spirits to accompany dinner and their house made limoncello is to die for.

Dined here last night for the first time to celebrate husbands birthday and it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, service lovely. True authentic Italian cuisine. This is now our favourite Italian restaurant! Thank you for making our experience so great, can’t wait to dine there again and try more from the menu! Highly recommend both prawns and meatballs for entree and the mussels for main. Bellissimo. Thank you to all the staff!
