We tried the vegetable tempura, stir-fried greens, miso soup, and sushi, and were very impressed with the flavors. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was delightful. We would definitely return. The menu clearly labeled all vegan options, providing plenty of choices. Highly recommend!
We were searching for a lunch spot that offered something different from the usual burgers and fish and chips. As we walked along Grey Street, we stumbled upon The Muddler, a Pan Asian restaurant with a variety of Asian dishes. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and the restaurant was tastefully decorated with a lovely atmosphere. Our order was taken promptly and our food arrived within fifteen minutes. The dishes were beautifully presented and served hot. The portion sizes were generous and the food quality was excellent. It was a fortunate discovery for us and a top-notch dining experience that we would highly recommend to others.
We made a reservation as a group to celebrate a graduation. Initially, we tried booking for all 17 of us at once, but there was a downside. Instead of the usual £5 deposit, we were told the deposit would be £10 per person. Also, large groups must order from a set menu in advance. Since no one liked the set menu, we split the group into four separate bookings to access the regular menu. A few days before our reservation, we found out that the groups would be seated on different floors. After speaking to supervisor Molly, she was able to accommodate us all on the same floor. The front of the restaurant is currently being renovated, so we had to climb numerous stairs to access it, which was difficult for some in our group. It was also a challenge to get to the toilet, as it required going around the stairs. Despite having had good food here in the past, the service was incredibly slow this time. It took about an hour to get our starters and nearly two hours for the main meal. We tried a variety of dishes, including my favorite pork belly, which did not disappoint. Molly surprised our graduate with a special dessert at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch. Despite the slow service, I would consider returning in the future.
The muddler is a nice, trendy place, good selection of food and drinks. we went for the chicken pad thai, with duckling early rolls and tempoura garnel that we between 2. it was all delicious! the cocktails are really nice, try the blueberry the service was a little slow, therefore no 5 stars, but it was still a really good experience.
Delicious eating with my sister in law. the sushi, Bao-beunge and calamari were all delicious. I would go so far that sushi was the best I ever had. for the main was the teriyaki huhn on place, but the prawn pad thai was too salty and too spicy, and I thought there would have been more garnel given the price. but overall we really enjoyed our meal and the service was great. we will definitely be back. 4 stars because of the pad thai only.
