The Jingling Gate - Newcastle upon Tyne

Thought id try the guidepost I had heard they had the food back on. I thought I would give the gammon and chips a try they were delicious!! They had real chips as well omg. The staff were helpful and cheery the pub it self is nice with good parking and outside seating as well i think it would be nice in the summer.

Beautiful food, friendly staff, good atmosphere in pub dining area will definitely be back soon!!

Had a nice time here we chanced upon the place whilst traveling through the village, thought why not have a pint, we ended up staying for a quite a few more.

The guidepost was a friendly atmosphere, food was good staff were amazing. Would defiantly be back very soon.

After someone said to try The Guide Post, I was very disappointed with my meal, which was of very poor quality and very pricey for what was served. My wife was not happy also, and she left most of her food. The kids food was a joke! Even my pint was not right! The place is very tatty and the staff are not really friendly the atmosphere was poor, and the place needs good deep clean. There was a lot of loud swearing from the bar area too. I will not be visiting again and would not recommend this place to anyone! I wish I had checked on trip advisor first, as it correctly ranks this place near the bottom of the pub charts in the whole area! A waste of my time and money!
