Soju Gogi - Newcastle upon Tyne

I went to Soju Gogi for dinner on a Friday and was extremely satisfied with the generous portions. My partner and I shared a starter of three delicious items, followed by a meat plate featuring a variety of beef, pork, and chicken that was all incredibly tasty. The meal also included boiled rice and a side salad. Soju Gogi is a cozy restaurant where you can take your time enjoying the food, which is cooked at your table and smells amazing. I highly recommend dining here and will definitely be returning soon!

The restaurant was beautiful and picturesque with a lovely ambiance. Despite having limited seating, the tables were spaced out well, preventing a cramped feeling. Our party of 5 walked in without a reservation and were kindly accommodated, which was a big plus. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt, though they could benefit from additional crew members to improve efficiency. The food was beautifully presented and the prices were fair for the portion sizes. We enjoyed dishes such as kimchi jigae, a meat plate, and seafood noodles, all of which were delicious. One minor issue was that we didn't receive our water until after we had started eating and paid, likely due to a busy time with a stretched staff. Overall, it was a good experience, and we look forward to returning under better circumstances with a reservation and hopefully more staff.
