La Nonna - Newcastle upon Tyne

I don't even know where to begin with this place. The staff seemed clueless, the atmosphere felt cold and uninviting, the food was tasteless packet pasta and Tesco pizza, and the house wine was cheap and vinegary. Overall, a huge disappointment.

Gave La Nonna a try last week as it was fifty yards from where I was born! Food was outstanding, Staff great. Great prices. A real find and compensation for the loss of the wonderful Antonio's in Whitley Bay. At last an Italian restaurant to...equal it.

This cozy Italian restaurant may seem small, but the food served here is excellent. I have visited a few times now and it is consistently delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly and welcoming.

Looks quiet from the outside so we thought we'd give it a go... ended up having a lovely meal, much better food than across the road in Francesca's ! ordered off of the menu and turns out that it was very good value for...money! will be returning soon!!!

I went to La nonna on the of November and it is one of the best places I've ever been for Italian meal. the waiter and the waitress were really helpful and caring and its got parking so if you are driving you can...park around the back of it. I defiantly recommend it to everyone.
