Hedleys Riverside Coffee Shop

What a great place to stop on a fabulous walk along the river tyne. I often go by wylam along the river bank and drive a break here before I drive over the newburn bridge and back on the other side. greeted each time, also with. an old and sometimes grim dog. I enjoy a skorn and in these days it is hard to find a caffe that serves fresh homemade skorone, nothing more disappointing than a stale stodgie and tasteless skanone that closes this baking powder aftertaste. they're 10/10! I always have time; these scones have just come out of the many and are still warm. best they are delicious and remind me of my childhood, as mum always made a charge every week. yesterday I tried feta and jalepeno, and it was excellent, highly recommended! .

I've been visiting this lovely dog-friendly café for many years and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I sat outside and enjoy my usual tasty cheese and Jalapeño-Scoone when I overheard a group of people on another table. this man... explained how he traveled all over the world over the years and never had a toastia that fits in the hedley cafe. So of course I had to try one and he was right. 10/10. So they give a try and I'm sure they won't be disappointed!

Great service, friendly atmosphere and the best cheese scenes this side of the tyne! would strongly recommend it.

A so breathtaking walk along the river side, my first time on this walk. the river is fabulous. there is a pub on the upper street and this charming coffee stop. the access is good, and there are many. rooms . a nice garden to sit outside, but it was a little fresh today. we chose both eggs and speck sarnie in white brot, with tee. the sarnies were “proper” delicious doorsteps filled with beautiful speck and double eggs. but there are warnings that go with this sarnie. make sure that the egg is turned away from them

I came to place delightful cafe on the river side on a long bicycle ride from Newcastle city centre. You can sit outside or inside, I had a nice coffee, but they offer food as well. the staff were polite, the toilets are outside on...right hand side as you go in through front door and were clean I will be using this place again no issue
