Harry's Brasserie - Newcastle upon Tyne

Having visited here a couple of years ago, we thought we'd pop in for a cocktail or two before we embarked on even more retail therapy.....and it was just as nice as we remembered it.Being lunchtime the place wasn't heaving and we were able to get a table easily enough. Drinks were ordered at the bar and delivered to our table. We also opted for some chicken dippers as a little treat, and were cooked to perfection and served with a generous portion of fries.Unfortunately there are no deals on cocktails, however, having tasted a slightly watered down version of Pina Colada earlier in the week, it was great to have a proper one at last, even if it did make the shopping trip a tad fuzzy!Staff were great, with our server giving us some great recommendations for a Chinese eatery.You won't be disappointed if you like a venue with a great ambience, and super background music.

We booked here for a pre-theatre meal and had stated this.Our welcome was okay and drinks order quickly taken, but after that the service was slow. We had to request a vegan menu, and the choices for vegetarians and vegans was uninspiring. I opted for a Burrata salad. Our order was taken over minutes after we arrived, despite us being ready for over minutes and several other tables arrived after us, ordered and were served. I was then informed they were out of Burrata. It was substituted with mozzarella but this wasn’t reflected in the bill. We managed to order a second drink but didn’t have time for a pudding… won’t be recommending this to anyone at the theatre. It felt that if you were a table of females your were given more attention.

Visited for lunch with family. All food and drink was superb and staff were attentive. There was an issue with the bill which I only noticed after I had left. A genuine mistake which was immediately corrected and I have to say was dealt with in an extremely efficient and customer focussed way and was the best customer service I have seen for a long while. Will certainly return and recommend to friends.

First time for us. Walked in lovely inside well decorated and clean. We dined in the restaurant part. Food was nice well presented but the waitress we had who i believe was management was quite abrupt when we were ordering rushing us to order food. We had just sat down hadn’t even ordered a drink. But what really let it down was another member of the management team (male) really talking down to the service staff he actually shouted at one point to someone serving infront of the customers it was quite uncomfortable and not nice for the service staff (no way would I expect my kids to be treat like that at work you could see there clearly students trying to work to get by. They were lovely service staff very well presented and polite. No need at all for management staff to talk down to them. From what we saw the service staff work really hard and we’re very nice and polite to us. Management let it down!
