Bistro Forty Six - Newcastle upon Tyne

I had an excellent dining experience with delicious food, beautifully presented dishes, and outstanding service. For my main course, I enjoyed the venison, which was a generous portion and very flavorful. To start, I had the pheasant balls, which were delightful and light. The chocolate and beetroot brownie for dessert were also impressive! I highly recommend this restaurant!

This charming little restaurant is small and welcoming, with fantastic food. We’ve visited several times during Sunday lunch, and every meal has been excellent. Despite its cozy size, it never feels cramped. My advice is to make a reservation well in advance, as it’s very popular. If you walk in without a reservation, they may still have a spot, but it’s not guaranteed. The prices are quite reasonable, and the wine list is good. They frequently share details about their daily specials on Instagram. The service is also top-notch. Overall, I give it 5 stars!

This place is one of the species that offer game and sweet food. eating is excellent. her game kebab is amazing and we always come for more. try their venison, pidgeon or grouse. the menu changes depending on availability. could not recommend higher.

This is becoming our must visit restaurant when staying with family in Newcastle. Close to the West Jesmond metro station, this small, friendly bistro in a residential area is exceptionally good. Every dish we've chosen has been delicious and we'll try each other's dishes as we enthuse about the flavours quality of the food. It specialises in venison, locally sourced, but the menu is suitably varied and great wine/drink list. The service is excellent and price reasonable. Our recent visit was about £200 for the four of us for three courses drinks. Booking is recommended as it is a small, popular restaurant, owned by the chef, I believe.
