We visit this restaurant about once a month when we go to see my daughter's horse at the nearby Cheshire Retirement Livery. The food is consistently excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the pub has a cozy, maze-like layout. During our last visit, we ordered meat and potato pie, chicken and ham pie, and chicken Schnitzel. All dishes were beautifully presented and delicious, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly, with a nice crunch and freshness. Parking is easy in their car park. Overall, we rate the food a 5 out of 5.
The service was slow in getting our two coffees, but the interior of the restaurant was really nice. The staff were friendly and it was great that they allowed dogs, which was a bonus for me as they were really cute. However, my friend struggled a bit due to their allergy as the place got crowded. The coffee was strong and delicious, and came with a little biscuit. There are steps inside so it may not be wheelchair accessible on the bar side. I did not go into the restaurant so I am not sure about that side, but there was plenty of seating with a cozy country cottage feel. Parking is limited, but the restaurant is easily accessible by foot. There are some beautiful walks nearby as well. Wheelchair accessibility may be an issue on the bar side due to steps, and it is unclear about the restaurant side.
Amazing meal, the amount of lamb on my roast is unrivalled, all piping hot and very tasty indeed, we will be back 100% , good service and the Sunday atmosphere from a local pub is what you want Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
You have to experience Burger Night at this restaurant! While the cost per person is £40-50, the food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a flawless 5-star rating.
