Very cosy very clean great staff and the food was excellent

The menu below has changed a bit so can't choose any items below, service could be slightly better by putting water on the table as a given, and had to ask for milk for tea and coffee, had to ask for clean cutlery for main course as we used the others for starters, just little minor things that could be improved on, but overall a good experience and will definitely be back

I don't normally go out of my way to review a place but this experience was so bad I had to. The place was absolutely boiling, so hot we had to keep going outside. I got the prawns as a starter, which had no oil at first but bread for oil dipping ? Got that fixed with a lovely waitress, and still the prawns lacked flavour and the batter was quite pasty. Waited an hour and a half on dinner (if you have an allocated time to leave the restaurant per a policy you expect quicker, our dinner was served 25 minutes before we were meant to leave). The potatoes were lumpy with no flavour and the lamb was cooked very poorly. The fat on lamb is meant to melt, however it was like jelly. If I wanted wet dog food I would've stayed home. They didn't realise which bill was ours, and we were served by four different waitresses throughout the service as well. The wait staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful whenever they came over to us, however that was scarcely. Desserts also looked like they came straight out of a packet. Annie Mays seriously needs to start seasoning and cooking properly or just start charging pub prices at this stage.

Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent ambience, great value. Very happy with the service we received and the understanding towards the child that was not liking the vegetables in his chicken curry. Staff without any fuss changed it for one vegetable free. Great attentiveness and always had a service with a smile. I had the chicken ceasar salad and was impressed by the proportions of the portions along with the very crispy bacon pieces served. RV+5

Excellent all round But please don't charge for tap water ice and a splash of lime cordial
