John Macs - Newcastle

This place is really the best fish chip shop in northern Ireland! fortunately we drive 45 minutes to newcastle, just for their take-out fish chips lol. everything is freshly cooked to order, decent portions, high quality food and nice staff. her menu board is extensive and there is no terrible after taste of overused cooking oil etc. we bring our visitors here to enjoy a takeaway fisher on a bank on the promenade and the compliments are always good! we always try other places, but nothing comes near john Macs

Had best fish and chips tonight definitely b back fish cook well and not all greasy tasty and fresh thank u nite of cooking

Lovely food Friendly staff Highly recommended Veggie options would be good though... not cooked with the meat)

We've been here plenty of times over the years, we go for the haddock but on this occasion, even though we ordered haddock it tasted like cod so we were disappointed.

Takeaway was extremely busy but the was a good size and the chips were hot and crispy.
