Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and checked in with us multiple times. A definite gold star for that! But here 's where the journey took a twist. You know how you start a meal with high hopes, and then... surprise! The bread served with the mussels had a little extra oomph to it – mold. Yep, I found mold on my bread after a few bites. Not the kind of extra flavor I was hoping for, I assure you. After raising the issue with the waiter, they apologized and offered us some fresh bread. However, by that point, our appetites had taken a hit, and we weren 't too keen on diving back in. So, to sum it up, 2 out of 5 stars it is. Great service, but the moldy bread was a real buzzkill for our dining experience. Fingers crossed for some better luck next time!

As always, Sea Level was great. Fabulous Cosmo, popcorn shrimp and dinner, not to mention dessert! Service also always pleasant and timely. My favorite restaurant in Newburyport. My first impression was of a hip, upscale seasi, well riverside resort establishment in which I wouldn't necessarily fit during the evening. Instead I found it to be a welcoming check on my Essex County culinary to do list. I specifically went for thechowder fries and they more than lived up to my expectations. Wish I had tried more of the menu. Maybe next time.
Pretty good food and excellent service. Had a nice dinner here with my wife after an afternoon of whale watching. The plum island boil was pretty good and lobster was delicious.
