Side Street Cafe - Newbury Park

I've lived in Newbury Park for 38 years and have been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I've ever had. The food came out quickly, but everything was cold. The hash browns were warm but overcooked. I was only offered one cup of coffee and never even asked if I wanted a refill. This is what you get in 'Woke California.'

What really stood out to me, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring a wonderful dining experience. My coffee cup was always full, and they were more than willing to accommodate any special requests. Overall, Side Street Caffe is a hidden gem for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious breakfast paired with excellent service. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area, and I will definitely be returning soon!

Side Street Cafe is my favorite spot for Saturday morning breakfast. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is prompt. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very inviting. I always stop here after my workouts. It has that peaceful, classic American diner vibe—just the kind of place where you can order coffee and they keep coming back to refill your mug with that robust drip coffee only diners seem to have. Meanwhile, I find myself stacking up empty creamers into a little tower. It’s definitely worth a visit if you enjoy diners. Just a heads up, some menu items can be a bit pricey, but overall, it’s a fantastic experience.

Always a great place to eat! Really REALLY enjoyed the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich special today. Great portions. Fresh food. Served hot. Friendly service.
