Plum Island Provisions - Newbury

I had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant. My husband and I shared a cheesesteak and a BBQ chicken pizza, both of which were delicious. However, I felt sorry for the employees who had to work in such tough conditions. It was very stuffy inside the restaurant, and you could hardly breathe, let alone in the kitchen. There was no air conditioning.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I stopped by for some quick breakfast sandwiches on my way to the beach. I was only about a minute behind my friends when I arrived, but the chef rudely told me, "No! I'm starting to eat!" Meanwhile, he was making sandwiches for my friends. I understand there are breakfast cutoff times, but if it's for the same group, what’s the harm? I'm done with this place and will never return! Also, they messed up my sandwich order!

Neighborhood Subladen. It’s not anything extraordinary, but it’s dependable, good, and a comfortable option when you're hungry on the island. They have the essentials in stock, though the selection isn’t extensive.

The Calzone and the Steakbombe were amazing. They also had everything we forgot at home, including a toothbrush!

This is my go to spot to grab a sandwich for the beach for years. Today I went in with shorts and decent coverage bathing suit top and they refused to serve me without a ?shirt? on? Have we seen what kids these days are considering shirts? Will not be supporting a business with such misogynistic values.
