Mesa Mexican Grille - Newburgh

I recently had dinner here. First, the salsa is the bomb! Next, the place is super clean and menu very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely return. I will also let you know some crazy lady came in and wanted to return a two day old order she placed for take out. The staff was very polite and explained she had eaten some and it was not an immediate return. She yelled in the middle of the restaurant like a crazy person. She shouted out another Mexican place in New Windsor was the best Mexican food in the area. I do not agree with her or her rude behavior.

A bit of fusion with traditional favorites make this place fun, but still familiar. It has 3 soft tacos: carne asada, shrimp and smoked fried chicken. All were fabulous, but the fried chicken melted in my mouth and was easy as a feather. Gucamole was excellent. I can't wait to try other dishes on the menu. I recommend you. Update 5/2019: went back and the food wasn't almost as good. Maybe you don't give them another chance as there are many alternatives in this neighborhood. This is the Mexican cuisine, not the authentic, handmade things you get in the city of Newburgh or even New Windsor. Yuppies also need good food. If you're a Yuppy, you'll like this place! If not, forget it.

The food was just fine, what I was really cheating about, because I was hoping we had a new way near home. We ordered the phone and the man was polite and helpful. The food was ready quickly and was very thoughtful and still hot wrapped. We felt that the price of food was a little high considering that you do not get a side dish with what we ordered Tacos and Enchiladas These are the reasons for the 2 stars. Could try to eat and get something else next time and see if the food is better. Will update the review if we do.
