Although our food took longer to arrive than I anticipated, the service from both the waitress and the chef was kind. The food was delicious, but there isn't much else to mention about the restaurant. I would recommend it for a quiet dinner with friends or family. The location is convenient, but there is no parking available.
The food here is good, with the only wood-fired pizza in town. The restaurant is run by a real Italian, and it's nice and quiet during the week. The decor is nice as well. I tried the quattro formaggi and margherita pizzas, both were good - rated at 6.4 and 6.7 respectively. While the pizza is better than anything else in town, it just didn't have that extra something to earn a higher score. Still worth a visit.
The service was excellent and the food was amazing.
While searching for an Italian restaurant in Newbridge, we stumbled upon Oscar House. The sight of the pizza oven outside caught our eye, leading us to assume they must make amazing pizzas. Upon entering, we found the restaurant to be empty and mainly focused on takeout orders. The atmosphere was average, nothing special. However, we did notice it was quite cold inside and the heater next to us wasn't working. Unfortunately, our chosen appetizer was not available. So, we opted for two 12-inch Diablo pizzas for €16 each. The pizzas arrived in about 15-20 minutes, but we were disappointed to find that the "fresh mozzarella" mentioned on the menu was actually regular shredded cheese. The pizza was greasy and the center of the crust was soggy. The flavor wasn't terrible, mostly rich with a pleasant spiciness. Overall, we found the experience to be lacking and were expecting more. The standout element of the pizza was the crust, which was light and flavorful. Personally, I don't think I would return to Oscar House.
During our search for an Italian restaurant in Newbridge, we came across Oscar House. The sight of the pizza oven outside immediately grabbed my attention, making me believe that delicious pizza was being made inside. Upon entering, we noticed that we were the only customers in the restaurant, which seemed to focus more on food delivery. The ambiance was average, neither particularly inviting nor unappealing. We felt chilly during our meal as the heater near our table wasn't working. Unfortunately, the appetizer we wanted was unavailable. We decided to order two 12-inch Diablo pizzas for 16€ each. The pizzas arrived in about 15-20 minutes, but we were disappointed to find that the "fresh mozzarella" listed on the menu was actually regular shredded cheese. The pizzas were greasy, with a soggy crust in the middle. Despite mostly tasting of grease, they had a pleasing spiciness. We had higher hopes for our meal. However, the standout was the light and tasty crust. Personally, I have no plans to return to Oscar House.
