Not to know how busy a Saturday night/night I would be before to make reservations for a table of 10. I actually called twice, first for 8:00 and then at 9:00. When my friends and I arrived, the staff told us that there were no reservations and that the kitchen was closed at 9 a.m. I had mentioned that we were going to dinner. If I had known that the kitchen was closed at 9:00, I would have made other plans. When I checked with the staff regarding the reservations, they started calling another place, but I showed them that I actually called the right place twice and they confirmed that I had the right number. Seems they totally ignored the reservation. When we arrived, the place was completely empty and there was no problem finding a table. While we wait to decide how/where we get a place to eat, no employees came to the table or even wondered if we wanted to drink something. Fully terrible experience, definitely not recommended.
This place is very friendly! Beer selection is large and there is something for everyone. The bartenders are great, especially Jose! He went beyond and beyond for our group and it was not unnoticed. I highly recommend this place!
A typical German beer garden: actually no longer a drinking hall like in the Ruhr area, but larger. Good beer selection and a good meeting place in front of devil games. Otherwise only a reasonable sports bar
Steffanie was great. She was attentive and gave great service. Everything was fast and efficient. She was nice and funny to our maid jokes. She made us enthusiastic at home for the weekly concert. Whenever we're in New Jersey (we're from New York) we'll break in and ask for her. Thanks again! You kept the best vibes!
What had happened was...my flight got canceled and rerouted through Newark so here I am and this place is walking distance from my hotel. The food is outstanding (not a huge fan of the cole slaw but everything else was fantastic). Good food, good beer, and the service was excellent. It didn't have to be, given the number of people in the place, but it was, so hats off to the bartenders. If you're in the area and have a hankering for respectable german fare and good beer? This is where you want to go.
