Grotto Pizza. - Newark

The fact they won't deliver to an address 3 miles away is ridiculous. So they advised us to go to DoorDash where they up-charge like hell and can't even offer the simplest request of a pizza to be extra crispy to combat the excessive greasiness of their food. Make it make sense.

When, you go to the beach, Grotto's Pizza, ranks up there with Thrasher's French Fries, and Candy Kitchen Shops. You just have to order pizza and the fun beach memories come flooding back. Ordering delivery was painless and even on a busy Friday night, we got our pizza inside of an hour. The pizza was huge and stuffed the 4 of us. The cheese pull was classic and delightful. There were generous with the mushroom and sweet pepper toppings. Hot, fresh, and filling are good adjectives to describe our Grotto's Pizza. We even ate leftover pizza for breakfast. Don't tell anyone. So, if you want to recall beach memories or you just want pizza for dinner, give Grotto's Pizza a call.

No attention to detail, food is below average and they charge a premium... avoid this place.

Been a loyal costumer to this Grottos location for as long as I can remember. The staff is phenomenal and make sure you feel welcome. Jackie is the best! Today I tried the Biscotti Gelato and am not sure how I waited so long to do so. It is out of this world!!

I used to live within walking distance of this Grotto's and still make the trip at least once annually even now that I'm several hundred miles away. I've never once been disappointed in the quality of the pizza from this location, and it always lives up to my memories of what I grew up eating. The restaurant itself is definitely nothing special; it's dark and outdated, and I would absolutely recommend carrying out instead. The takeout counter is located between the main restaurant and the attached bar. They are usually quite efficient, with only a 20 minute wait for my order most recently on a Friday night. Pizzas came out piping hot and exactly as we wanted. I will never get tired of their classic plain cheese pie! Delicious every time.
