Cityrub Steak Smokehouse - Newark

This was my first and certainly not my last visit! Everything was as I had imagined it would be (research prior), but better. My hostess Bia attentive to my every need, friendly knowledgeable on menu items and courteous.. I will recommend the Pulled Pork it melts in you mouth.

The food was excellent! We ordered the City Combo, which served two, so we could sample the meat selections. The ribs, brisket and pulled pork were top of the line! Best cornbread we have had too. Service was lacking but the food was worth it.

This place was A M A Z I N G! beautiful, a friendly atmosphere .The food pretty good as well, then my next best favorite have to be this drinks Caipirinhas, our waitress Maria recommended Pork Ribs, best smoked meats, it was to die for! Very delicious. Maria was a very nice server and kind always making sure we were okay, the table was clean and asking if we needed anything else. She also mentioned that a Brazilian party on Sunday. Definitely coming back and staying longer! Ask for Maria she’ll take care of you!

If only the outside dining area was not right next to the noisy highway and also in line with flights out of Newark Airport (although I must say the outside dining area is beautifully decorated with faux flowers, real ferns and other greenery). Inside is spacious and clean. They offer a cotton candy cake (candle included) for birthdays which I personally liked a lot. Appetizers are very good (I recommend calamari and cheese platter). My group of friends and I were pleased with our food choices. Beer choices were limited. Drinks were okay.

Loved this place will be coming back the grilled mussels were amazing!
