Bragman's Delicatessen - Newark

The new owners are maintaining the excellent food quality that Bragman's is known for. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing a fantastic place to enjoy some truly delicious sandwiches. The young woman at the counter is also very nice and attentive.

I recently visited Bragman's and was lucky enough to meet the new owner Kai. He's 100% committed to maintaining and improving the legacy of this awesome deli. A proper old school Jewish deli in the heart of Newark with the food to back it up. Try the pastrami and the corned beef and pair it with some of the old school deli sodas they have on offer. Will definitely come back

Old style deli that has persevered and the food is better than ever. the sandwiches are all name just for fun. the Charlie w/cheese (Corned Beef Pastrami Combo) with a little Russian dressing is my go to sandwich and it is so satisfying with loads of meat on board. Great choice for lunch in Newark.

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for years. The food remains incredibly delicious, and the customer service is excellent. They also give back to the community by feeding the less fortunate. As a Black Muslim-owned establishment, they take pride in serving fresh and satisfying meals that are well worth the money! This deli is a place I genuinely enjoy and never want to leave. Having lived in Newark my entire life, I’ve seen many changes, with beloved old restaurants disappearing and being replaced by expensive places with tiny portions. However, this sandwich deli stands out as the best in New Jersey and the best I’ve ever had—no debate about it! Seriously, just go to Bragman's and grab a Charlie's Special! You won't regret it!

As someone from Brooklyn, I have high standards when it comes to food. After hearing glowing reviews about Bragman's Delicatessen, I decided to check it out, and I was not disappointed! While I was waiting in line, I was offered samples of the beef brisket and pastrami, and they were exactly what I had hoped for. I ordered the Charlie and the Jonathon sandwiches. Once I got home, my wife, older son, and I dug into these sandwiches with delight. My son, who is usually hard to impress, loved the Jonathon, while my wife preferred the Charlie. As a foodie, I thought both were spectacular. Just a heads-up, Bragman's can get busy quickly; I walked in when it was just me, and within two minutes, a dozen people had filled the place. The price is definitely worth it!
