I've been coming to Casa Vasca for almost 40 years and it has never disappointed me...you enter through the door of a friendly neighborhood tavern, go past the bar and into the very pleasant separate restaurant area where you're greeted by the staff... sometimes the owner herself will greet you; she's almost always at the restaurant...the service is excellent and the food a combination of Spanish and Basque simply wonderful...as soon as you're seated you'll have a basket of warm rolls and a bowl of the day's soup usually Caldo Gallego which is delicious... appetizers include camarones al ajillo, grilled chorizo, and clams in green sauce, which are all just wonderful...entrees like grilled langostinos, roasted goat, veal, chicken, and all kinds of seafood, are perfectly prepared and flavorful and the portions are large enough for lunch the next day...the orange cake for dessert is interesting and absolutely wonderful! Casa Vasca is a gem... it's consistently excellent and has been one of my favorite restaurants anywhere for decades... don't miss it!
