According to Joan Nathan, shakshouka originated in Ottoman North Africa in the mid-16th century after tomatoes were introduced to the region by Hernán Cortés as part of the Columbian exchange
I’ve been eating here for two years now and can easily say it’s one of my favorite restaurants. The happy hour is the best you can get I hammer down their burger and oysters weekly. Plus, the staff have ALWAYS been more than friendly. I’m moving soon and the thing I’ll miss the most is lighthouse <3
Great casual restaurant with a modern style and consistently good food, fresh salads and delicious drinks. The menu changes every so often and I haven't had anything I didn't like yet. The Aperol Spritz was just right on a warm day. Indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of room and space, as well as a few seats at the bar. Huge windows make the space feel airy and open. They always have options for vegetarians as well as carnivores and pescatarians. Happy hour is always a plus! The House-made Burrata on Grilled Bread was fantastic, definitely recommend this one, and the big salad was filling. Great option for dinner or lunch.I'll be back!
Great vibes! A bit of a walk but worth checking out.We ordered the mezze combination which comes with 7 dishes and sourdough bread. Not sure if sourdough was the best choice here but the food was delicious. It was enough for two to catch up and be full.Wait staff was attentive. One appeared to be new but appreciated she went to check when we had questions.
Came here with my family for lunch. Didn’t have a reservation, but they took us right away. Great service from the start, and continued throughout the meal. The space is bright and welcoming. Food is exactly what you would want for a weekend lunch. Everything was thought out and well executed.
