Via Italia Restaurant - New York

We found Via Italia in 2003 and have been impressed by its top-notch service and delicious food ever since. It has become our go-to spot for lunch on New Year's Eve.

The pre-theater food at this restaurant was excellent. My steak with shrimp was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was lively.

The food was good and the service was very good. However, we had to ask for our drinks and our plates were left stacked up with empty ones. We waited 10 minutes for the bill, only to receive the wrong total, and another 10 minutes for our card to be processed. Overall, we would not recommend or return as it was a very disappointing experience.

I came to lunch after the advertisement on the open table. I was presented with dinner menu. I asked the lunch menu. I said they were the same. my $17 lunch spaghetti costs $24.

Real gem in the in midtown area with exceptional quality food. good for a quiet meeting or a nice glass of wine before the theatre.
