The Mermaid Oyster - New York

We were party of four sat outside very nice. Told the wait staff we needed to make a show so only had an hour, he was awesome very attentive and friendly, the food came out surprisingly quick. And it was scrumptious! The happy hour oysters were blue point super fresh and buttery. The salmon perfectly cooked with delicious salad especially tomatoes, and super yum fish tacos. We were all very pleased and out in an hour! Definitely returning to this place!

Excellent happy hour and applies to all dining areas during the happy hours, not just bar area. Oysters were great.

We attended happy hour on a Sunday afternoon, sitting outside. The food and service were really first rate. We look forward to future visits.

Their happy hour certainly makes me happy! $1.5 per oyster $1.5 per little clam (with minimum order of six units of oyster/little clam) so I sure ate my fill. Had their octopus little plate, recommended by their bar tender. It was tender and honestly serves as a great light dinner but is totally shareable as an appetizer if you’re dining with others.Their salmon tartar at happy hour is good but as I worked through it, I found it kind of salty… even if the bread crisps go well with it.Service was amazing and it was the perfect place to chill and eat during happy hour. (Good for going alone or with company) I love that they give you a free small chocolate pudding at the end of the meal.I did not order the mini clam chowder at happy hour because it was the same size if not smaller than an espresso cup.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. My only complaint was the noise level was very high. It would have been a much more enjoyable experience had it been a quieter environment.
