The Mermaid Inn - New York

The mermaid inn is closed (not only at this location, but apparently all NYC sites). I was surprised and disappointed that open table would offer and confirm a reservation in a restaurant that is not in operation. it will now be difficult for me to trust open table for a reservation in a restaurant that I do not know is actually opened by the recent personal experience.

The eastern village was closed for the season, but we are still able to make an online reservation. has not been updated or google maps.

Had a great meal here the staff really so helpful and friendly. the food was 10/10.

So happy the original has reopened. We have been going to Mermaid at Mcdougal and love it. Now we can go to 2nd Ave. The oysters are always fresh and delicious as are the clams. Always have at least 1dozen of each. Guy the manager, handsome bubbly and very attentive. Camilo the shucker, excellent!!! Ozzie our server was also attentive. Will be back soon
