The Ginger Man - New York

I love visiting my hometown. To walk around Manhattan, I got the urge for a hard cedar. I made a gong and found the Ginger Man. Not the best apple wine selection (Brooklyn Cider House and Bad Seed are better, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the selection they had. The bartender (thanks Natalie! was sweet and funny to talk and the clientele was cool. I definitely come back when I'm in Midtown and thirsty

Great hot dogs. Love the couches in the back. Would come here with a bunch of people and start off the day here. Would end up bar hopping to a few spots in the area.

Daily beer menu printed on recycled paper. Great service and beers. Went on a Tuesday night around 10pm. Excellent atmosphere. Bar full but helped promptly. Vicki behind the bar was nice.

Came here mid-week so we immediately found a table but it’s generally super crowded as the weekend nears so try to get there early. Good choice of drinks and food. The menu changes constantly. Service is fast and servers friendly.

It's an average bar. There are no TVs so it's nice not to have sports playing everywhere. I'm rating it 3 stars because it was an average bar. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special. Nice if you are in the area but not worth a special trip itself. The staff was friendly. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
