Spoonfed Nyc - New York

Finding authentic Deep Southern Comfort Food that’s both affordable and delicious can be a challenge, but Spoonfed NYC has some of the best options I've ever tried. Their prices are reasonable compared to many other “comfort” food places in the city. Additionally, they boast a fantastic event space, and the owner is actively involved in the daily operations. With incredible food and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend it!

I’m not sure what was more delightful—the food or the staff! Our server, Skyler, who also created some fantastic cocktails, along with the Chef and owner, Randy Witherspoon, were truly remarkable and incredibly genuine. We visited Spoonfed for a birthday brunch celebrating my son’s 16th birthday, and we left completely satisfied after enjoying delicious homemade catfish, okra, fried chicken, and we can’t forget the incredible Three Cookie Banana Pudding for dessert! The staff took wonderful care of us from beginning to end. Randy even came over to our table to share inspiring stories about how the restaurant came to be and his upbringing on the family farm. He was so warm and friendly, personally sending us off and walking us outside into the cool autumn day after our meal. It was such a refreshingly genuine experience! I live in Boston, but the next time I’m in New York, I will definitely be making a beeline for Spoonfed!

We popped in for a quick meal before heading to a show, and we didn’t want to leave! The staff greeted us warmly, truly embracing us. They learned our names, engaged us in conversation about our food and drink preferences, and offered fantastic recommendations. The owner even joined us for a chat, at our invitation. If you’re not familiar with how the Broadway community helped bring this restaurant to life, be sure to ask! The food was incredible, but what truly set this place apart was the warm, familial atmosphere. I highly recommend Spoonfed!

Amazing atmosphere, great service, friendly down to earth. The best collard greens I've ever had, the hush puppies perfection. Great southern food. The hubby and I could not have been happier.

Randy Weatherspoon is a beautiful soul who shows how hospitality is done. I love the ambiance, decor and fresh herbs growing on the steps of the entrance. The food is amazing, a must try is the fried okra the best I ever ate! A must for locals and visitors who like a southern flare. Brunch on the weekends and open mike music at night! A 5 Star all the way!Leo the Bartender is a handsome mixologist with a twist and a smile
