Sophia's Of Little Italy - New York

Honestly, I’m surprised (in a bad way) at my experience here. One of the people in my party had been here prior and raved about the food. My party of 4 arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. Service was great (at first) until we ordered. We ordered an app and our entrees. And then we sat. For an hour. No app. No entrees. No bread. Finally, called a waiter over and explained that we had been sitting for over an hour with no service and others around us had been served food. He went to check on it. Probably another 10-15 minutes after that, we finally received food. My party had to scarf down our food because we were going to be late for our next activity due to the delay with our food. Everyone enjoyed their food, except for the one who ordered the linguine and clams and said it tasted like chlorine. It’s a shame that majority of us enjoyed the food, but had terrible service. Unrelated to the service, my party and I definitely got crop-dusted by an older woman and the smell was so bad some of my party had to step outside so they didn’t gag.

The food here was mediocre. My husband got the special which included a lobster tail. The lobster was over cooked. Overall, it’s not a place we would dine at again, NYC has great food and this isn’t one of the great spots.

Delicious! The pappardelle alla bolognese is the absolute best!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff was welcoming. Excellent food and service.

The food was excellent as was the service. Loved sitting outside in the little heated areas, so cute!
