El Sombrero De Jalisco - New York

Charming little Mexican restaurant located just off Times Square near the Belvedere Hotel. We popped in for a quick meal after our flight! The food was good, but not exceptional. I ordered the steak quesadillas, and the steak was cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken burrito, which he really liked. The rice and beans weren't our favorite, but we would definitely come back. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive! The portion sizes were quite good for the price, and the margarita was delicious.

Overall, it’s a decent spot. The food leans toward a more Americanized version of Mexican cuisine, but it’s surprisingly tasty. I really enjoyed the ground beef enchiladas with green sauce, and the classic margarita was absolutely delicious! The decor adds a fun vibe. My only complaints are that the restaurant tends to be quite noisy and a bit pricey. However, it would definitely be a great choice for a party atmosphere.

I absolutely loved this place! I'm so glad we finally decided to give it a try. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic too, with a relaxed nighttime vibe. The fishbowl margarita was great, although it turned out to be larger than we had initially intended to order. A special shout-out to our wonderful server Kevin, who made us feel right at home! He really enhanced our dining experience. We will definitely return the next time we visit from Canada!

I was interested in this place because I saw the shareable fishbowl drinks and it did not disappoint! I ordered the smaller fishbowl and trust me, it was more than enough for my partner and I to share. The food was pretty decent as well, the portion of food is very generous. I would definitely come back again :

Really great meal, large portions in fact no one was able to finish their meal. I had a sombrero burger which came with some very tasty chips, aka fries. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the restaurant has a really good atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.
