The lobster paella was underwhelming. There was a thin rice layer that was burnt on the panwhich gave a weird crunchy taste. They asked to ?scrape the rice? which was a first for me. There was a sporadic laying ofprawn shrimp and other seafood. Again, underwhelming food, atmosphere was good and decent acoustics and could hear conversationfine. Service was excellent and food came out promptly.
Went here during restaurant week '22. The garlic shrimp was really good and it is a must to dip the bread into the oil ?????????????. The Brussel sprouts were cooked well. And the paella was delicious, the rice was cooked el dente and cookedright, but I wished it was slightly softer (asian rice soft), but everything was so flavorful. The sangria was a nice pairingto everything. Finished off the meal with crispy churros.
Came here for restaurant week a while ago paella was very good and had a nice variety of ingredients, croquetas were just okay, churros were great. Bartender was very friendly and happened to live near where I lived in Madrid a few years ago!
Sangrias were ok. Sardines and beet salad were delicious and filling. We could have skipped the paella,$72 for 2, was excessive for what it was. It was no sense service in a quiet small diner. The painted images of Spain added a nice touch to the ambience.Would return for tapas.
Overall good meal and good service. Went for restaurant week and got to try both Paellas on their menu. The paella with squid ink rice was very good, though the scallops weren?t as soft as they should be. For the tapas, would recommend the croquettes, champinones, and shrimp
