Peacock Alley Waldorf Astoria New York

We had just heard of the WA's closing a few days prior at our home in Laguna Beach, CA, and on a whim, tried for and got our reservation! We flew out just to see Thie Historic and beautiful Waldorf Astoria, and to experience the wonderful ambience we had heard so much about. Seeing the Staff in formal wear for their own celebration was very touching, and a genuine feeling of Family amongst them was evident. THANK YOU to all who breathed life into this great place...and for not laughing at me as I swiped the last of the hand towels with the Waldorf stamp, lol! The Peacock Alley was so full of life, with regulars saying goodbye, and we were welcomed with open arms food was amazing, hot, and deeeeeelicious!!! Good Luck to all hope to see you in a few years when the new project is complete.

It is a very special place where we go for a late lunch chocolate martinis on a regular basis. We are very sad the Waldorf is closing for renovations hope they reopen very soon. It's the best

A moment in history, last night of operation for Peacock Alley. Service, drinks, food were great to the last moment.

The salad was delicious, with perfectly reasonable portion sizes. The wine was delightful, and the coffee was pleasantly strong. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow.

Pedro truly made our experience feel unique, rather than just a typical brunch where many people are shuffled through. It's important to acknowledge him, especially considering how many guests you handle on Sundays. The outer room feels more romantic than the inner back room, but that's usually where we end up. Please keep the caviar flowing!
