Last week I took my manager and 2 customers to lunch. this place was a sweat. When we came in, they only ignored us three minutes while we were just getting in there, where only a few people are there. our waitress was kind. the food lasted a really long time for lunch and they were new we were corp. and not tourist etc. when eating finally came, there were only 3 teller of four. my colleague then finally waited the waitress said there was a problem with the order. my colleagues eating finally came and she barely ate to tell me after the meat was raw and it was all bad. during the meal we had to dispense with a service person for more water, etc. I was not impressed by my scallops court. only 4 scallops. Really? Last check was $189 and the tax was about $16. they don't have a paper sign system and brought me over a tablet. it had a total of $205 with a choice of 20% or higher. I couldn't change the amount. they had a tip on the total tax that is wrong! I didn't want to make a scene in front of our customers. I complained down below and the doorman said they were going in a month and tao is coming. Not sure if it was public? Couldn't be happier. **** you opia!
Nothing special, but convenient local for late lunch, early dinner with good salates and a moderate noise level that allows entertainment.
Love the room, food is ok, but management and kitchen needs a lot of help!
Loved the Renaissance 57 Hotel which is where Opia is located. Food was great surprised with a wonderful jazz band. The waitress was extremely disappointing sat me next to where the band was setting up which was very disrupting to my dinner to the band. In addition she embarresed me by saying my room number was declined had to use a credit card. The hotel confirmed the next day this was not true. Overall a good experience minus the wait staff.
