Cealaltă problemă a mea a fost so... Vezi toate recenziile.
We were disappointed in the uptown outpost of Mighty Quinn, which was surprising because we. have enjoyed the downtown branch a lot and always found it worth waiting on line for. We went to the uptown MQ 's for my boyfriend 's birthday with a party of five over Memorial Day weekend, and had actually made a reservation. When we got there, we were surprised to see that the place was empty surprising, since the downtown MQ 's often has a wait. We were soon to learn why. First of all, the atmosphere is dismal. It 's too brightly lit so you really notice the way that everything looks unfinished, and frankly, sort of dirty. We also found the food lackluster dry brisket, just okay ribs, truly icky, overly sweet Korean wings (I am not sure what actual Koreans would have to say about the use of their country 's name on these, but I doubt they 'd be happy), gross, gloppy Mac 'n cheese, etc.. We were also told that the Bronto Rib, which we 'd especially wanted to try, would take half an hour to prepare! No thanks! Finally after paying a 20% tip on a $100+ meal at the register, we were tartly reminded to bus our own table after we finished. I guess the tip was to say thanks for ringing us up? I don 't think we 'll be going back, and don 't recommend that you go either.
The atmosphere is nice and simple. Food was sub-par. The spare ribs were a big dried out and lacking in flavor. The beans had a strange taste. There was no service as the food is self-service.
Really nice brisket and burnt ends. Surprisingly, kale salad is really good. Skip the mac and cheese, it is mainly soggy bread crumbs. Good beer options.
It was my girlfriends birthday and I made reservations prior because BBQ is one of her favorites and saw that Mighty Quinn was supposed to be one of the best in the city . We arrived early and it was cold outside. The lights were off but we checked the doors and they were unlocked so we decided to look in nearby shops to wait for Mighty Quinn to actually open. When we went back to Mighty Quinn they were still not open but the doors were still unlocked so we went inside. Once inside a gentleman met us and we explained that we had reservations but were early and asked if we could just look at the menu while we waited. We were told that was fine by said gentleman . I was looking at the menu while my girlfriend stood by the door because she was uncomfortable because of the way the gentleman made her feel by acting hostile towards us. A young lady who was very nice was met by the same gentleman (both employees of Mighty Quinn . The lady asked the same gentleman if we could order and the gentleman told the lady that no one was allowed in the restaurant before it was open as he brought out a mop and bucket to mop the floors (then why were the doors left unlocked and why were the floors not done at the end of the shift before ? It was so uncomfortable by the way he kept saying no one was allowed in the restaurant that we left and went to an establishment next door and had a wonderful experience. I built up the experience for her before we got there because I was excited to do this for her and in return she was very excited to go. I guess it was my fault for not actually going first and checking the place out but I trusted what I read. I hope someone reads this. I truly hope it will be a great experience for you but it was NOT for us.
I made a reservation but this is a self-serve restaurant and you had to find your own table. Don’t know what the reservation was about. Food was mediocre at best.
